Aave's savings GHO (sGHO) currently offers a higher yield than sUSDS and all of Spark's savings products.
Last week, Sky lowered its savings rate (sUSDS) from 3.60% to 3.52%. This rate, which was as high as 4% in February, is currently at 3.52% after several reductions. Spark's savings products have also been lowering their rates over the past few months.
Current Rates:
→ sGHO: 4.25%
→ sUSDS (Sky): 3.52%
→ Spark Savings (USDC/USDT/USDS/PYUSD): 2.75% to 3.52%
sGHO currently offers 73 basis points more than sUSDS.
GHO is Aave's native stablecoin, over-collateralized by assets held within the protocol.
Savings GHO can be redeemed for GHO at any time, with no minimum deposit required. It automatically provides savings interest paid in GHO, funded from two sources:
- Interest paid by GHO borrowers, and
- Returns earned from the stablecoin reserves backing GHO.

Stripe and Advent Reportedly Offer $53 Billion to Acquire PayPal
According to Reuters, Stripe and Advent International have offered $60.50 per share to acquire PayPal, valuing the payments giant at over $53 billion. The offer has secured approximately $50 billion in committed financing, representing a premium of about 28% over PayPal's recent closing price. Sources say the two companies aim to reach an agreement by the end of July, but it remains uncertain whether the deal will ultimately be completed.
Stripe has increasingly focused on stablecoin infrastructure and cryptocurrency payments in recent years, while PayPal launched PYUSD in 2023 and has become one of the largest regulated stablecoin issuers.

I'm compiling a list of potential debate topics for this fall's @solana Breakpoint conference—looking for exciting topics that can spark real debate. Participants need to demonstrate genuine conviction, a firm stance, and excellent speaking skills.
Here are a few topics I've listed:
- Venture capital is doomed
- Collectibles will decline like NFTs
- Prediction markets should be banned
- The stablecoin war—the debate between USDG/USDC/USDT/OUSD/PYUSD
- Atom is popular, but not a good investment choice
What other topics should I add? Who do you think would be the best speakers on these topics?

Open USD has caused $CRCL to plummet.
USDT (Tether): You guys keep profiting, I'm the real winner!
In recent years, a bunch of stablecoins have emerged, such as FDUSD, PYUSD, USDe, and USD1... but USDT's market share has remained consistently above 50%, firmly holding its leading position.

So which cryptocurrencies will pass the review?
✅ Both are acceptable: $USDC · $USDG · $EURC
🇪🇺 EU only: $EURI · $EURCV · $EURe · $EURQ
🇺🇸 US only: $PYUSD · $USDP · $RLUSD · $USD1
❌ Rejected: $USDT · $USDe · $DAI · $USDY
The world's largest stablecoin, $USDT, failed the review.
@Quantoz @Paxos @PayPal @Eurite_BC @worldlibertyfi @ethena @tether @SkyEcosystem @OndoFinance Conclusion:
The US and the EU cannot agree on almost everything—except the definition of a stablecoin: licensed, fully funded, and no yield.
Offshore and yield-charging models have built a $250 billion cryptocurrency stablecoin market. The new regulations, which are about to take effect, aim to end these patterns.
