Elon Musk confirmed this plan on X. Previously, a user suggested changing the name from SpaceXAI to SpaceXSI, to which he responded, "Yes, we will make that change." He also posted separately that there should be "no more AI," and described SpaceX as a "super intelligent company."
As of now, no timeline has been provided, and as of the time of publication, SpaceX has not officially changed the account name, nor has a company announcement been released.
SpaceXAI is set to undergo its second brand reshaping in just a few months
This change will be the latest identity adjustment for Musk's AI business.
SpaceX acquired xAI earlier this year, and subsequently, Musk stated that the independent xAI company would be merged into SpaceX. Later on, this business was restructured into SpaceXAI, and its scope of operations was also expanded to include AI models, supercomputing, and orbital data center infrastructure.
Previously, the brand reshaping of SpaceXAI was also accompanied by trademark applications, covering satellite data centers, cloud computing, model training, as well as AI workload management.
SpaceX's own regulatory documents also describe xAI as being restructured under a broader SpaceX framework, rather than continuing to exist as an independent company.
This name change reflects a greater transformation for SpaceX.
At the time of this brand adjustment, SpaceX is increasingly no longer just a company that launches satellites.
Its AI business now includes the Grok ecosystem and Colossus computing infrastructure. SpaceX is also expanding its AI computing power cooperation with external companies.
This strategy has been reflected in the computing power agreement between the company and Anthropic. This agreement enables developers of Claude to obtain over 300 megawatts of computing power in Colossus1.
