New York, October 7th / PRNewswire / — Today, it was announced that Kylie Duff has been appointed as Managing Director and Head of Global Risk Retention and Structured Credit Capital Solutions.

In line with the company's focus on continuously providing customized capital solutions to clients, Duff will be responsible for leading Nearwater in the market-leading risk retention business in the field of global securitization products and building its strategic risk transfer platform. Duff will also work closely with Nearwater's liquidity market and capital market business to further expand the financial resource solutions provided to clients. This strategic risk transfer platform is committed to helping bank clients manage regulatory capital, risk-weighted assets, and centralized credit exposures.

Before joining Nearwater, Duff worked at Morgan Stanley, where she most recently served as the head of Capital Markets for Structured Companies in North America. In this role, she was responsible for initiating, structuring, and distributing transactions worth nearly $180 billion, involving over 350 CLO. She was also in charge of managing relationships with leading asset management firms and institutional investors, as well as developing customized financing strategies for corporate clients. During her 18-year tenure at Morgan Stanley, Duff worked in both New York and London, covering the ABS, CLO, CMBS, and RMBS markets in the United States and Europe.

Duff will be responsible for the business and operational models of these two services, including coverage of senior clients and initiators, design of transaction structures, communication with investors, and distribution. The appointment of Duff follows the recent addition of two other senior executives to Nearwater's risk retention financing team.

Reggie Fernandez joined as a managing director, possessing over 20 years of experience in structured financing in the capital markets and trading fields. He recently serves as a managing director at Natixis and is responsible for the securitization product syndication business. Fernandez holds a degree from New York University's MBA School of Finance, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Wooster College.

Kevin Sorgi has joined the company's New York office as a Managing Director, responsible for the RMBS business coverage. He possesses over 16 years of experience in structured financing and has deep expertise in residential mortgage securitization and capital markets. Sorgi has previously served as an Executive Director in JPMorgan Chase's Global Securitization Products Group, Vice President of Citigroup's Global Securitization Markets Group, and as an analyst in Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu's Securitization and Transaction Services Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Business Administration from Loyola University Maryland.
