News from the IT home on October 7th: Spotify announced today at the Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany that the functionality of its audiobooks (Audiobooks) will be significantly expanded to cover a wider range within 2026.

Spotify Audiobooks are currently available in only 22 markets, but within this year, their reach will expand to over 180 markets; the variety of languages supported will also significantly increase, with support for more than 120 languages including Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, and so on; the total potential number of users reached will exceed 750 million.

To further improve the user experience of audiobooks, Spotify also announced the addition of a ISBN barcode scanning and recognition feature to the Page Match content location matching function, and launched a Audiobooks paid subscription student package in Ireland, Belgium, Austria, and Finland.
