JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon stated that the Mythos AI model of Anthropic has significantly increased network security risks.
In an interview with Bloomberg TV on Tuesday, Damon said that these risks "increased tenfold after the emergence of Mythos."
He also stated, " AI created vulnerabilities that we were not aware of before, and even before these issues emerged, we had been concerned about cybersecurity problems."
His comments come at a time when AI developers are facing stricter scrutiny due to the security of their most advanced models.
In recent weeks, researchers from AI, executives in the tech industry, and some legislators have once again called for enhanced international cooperation to reduce the risk of advanced AI being catastrophically misused.

After Anthropic and OpenAI disclosed incidents that occurred during security testing in recent months, this debate has further intensified. These incidents have raised new questions: to what extent can their most powerful AI models be reliably controlled?
These events have also prompted some AI researchers and corporate executives to call for a slowdown in the development of cutting-edge AI models until stronger security measures are established.
Damon stated that these risks are real, but he believes that practical protective measures should be taken in response, rather than falling into panic.
He said, "The obvious downside risks are those issues you've read about, which are related to agents, Mythos, and all these things that could cause trouble. Such concerns are reasonable; they are real phenomena."
He also said, "I won't get hysterical over wondering, 'Is this a threat to survival?' What we're doing is rolling up our sleeves and getting to work to solve it."
