News from the IT family on October 3rd: MINISFORUM (Mingfan) is now selling PCIe AIC expansion cards on e-commerce platforms for a retail price of 669 yuan. This model is based on ASRock’s “Promontory 21” chipset, features active cooling, and provides 4 M.2 and 4 SATA interfaces.

PROM On the upstream side of the 21-core chip, there are 4 PCIe Gen4, while on the downstream side, there are 8 PCIe Gen4, 4 PCIe Gen3, and a series of USB I /O.

On ESP4B, the upstream and downstream PCIe Gen4 are used as M.2 slots, supporting 2 sets of 4 channels or 4 sets of 2 channels each; the PCIe Gen3 channels are presented in the form of OCuLink 4i, and can be converted into 4 SATA III interfaces using matching custom cables; the USB section provides 1 20Gbps Type-C.
