According to CoinMeta, the wallet Telegram announced on September 28th that it would be renamed to Walt, and it now supports over 300 assets. Walt will operate in parallel with Telegram's own Gram wallet within the application, each undertaking different functions. Telegram plans to expand the Gram wallet to serve over a billion users, while Walt is developed by an open platform and has already served tens of millions of users. Walt allows users to hold assets on multiple blockchains, trade cryptocurrencies, and access products related to stocks, exchange-traded funds, and precious metals. Walt also plans to launch crypto cards and AI tools to assist users in their transactions.
