According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Fortune, Saudi Arabia has reaped substantial oil profits from the Iran war, emerging as perhaps the only winner. Despite the fact that Saudi Arabia's GDP has contracted since the start of the war, with Iranian-backed armed forces attacking its oil infrastructure and its main competitors closing the Strait of Hormuz, Saudi oil revenues have surpassed pre-war levels due to rising crude oil prices. According to estimates by Robin Brooks, a senior researcher at the Brookings Institution, Saudi Arabia's annual export revenue has reached $210 billion, an increase from $150 billion before the war, and it accounts for more than 6% of GDP. Despite potential future attacks, Saudi Arabia's oil sector has been able to resume most of its exports under the protection of the US military in the Strait of Hormuz.
