According to CoinMeta, Google has announced that it will invest at least $15.2 billion in Finland's digital infrastructure over the next two years, marking one of the largest technology investments in the country's history. Finnish President Alexander Stubb stated that this investment reflects Finland's abundance of clean energy, secure operating environment, and growing technology industry, making it an increasingly attractive destination for artificial intelligence infrastructure. He noted that Finland can provide 95% of its electricity from clean sources and has the capability to withstand cyberattacks. Stubb also mentioned that Finland currently has about 50 data centers, with an expected additional 25, and that the country is preparing for future investments.
