Institution: Expectations of the Fed's interest rate hike rise, Japan's central bank may accelerate its pace of raising rates

According to CoinMeta, institutional analysis indicates that as expectations for the Federal Reserve's interest rate hikes increase, the Bank of Japan may accelerate its own pace of raising rates. Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities has moved up its forecasts for the Bank of Japan's interest rate hikes from January and June 2027 to December 2026 and April 2027, respectively. Analysts at the brokerage firm stated in a report that as market expectations for further Fed rate hikes rise, the Bank of Japan may speed up the adjustment of its monetary policy support. The minutes from the Bank of Japan's July meeting, released on Monday, showed that one policy committee member pointed out that given that core inflation is approaching 2%, and that more attention should be paid to the risk of rising prices than before, the pace of rate hikes could be faster than what the market expects.
