Breeze Airways is expanding its route network, adding direct flights to 6 new destinations, including routes that were previously operated by Spirit Airlines. This expansion will strengthen the low-cost airline's presence in the United States and increase connections to the Caribbean region.
Breeze Airways adds new routes after Spirit Airlines suspends flights
One of the biggest beneficiaries of this expansion will be Myrtle Beach International Airport in South Carolina ( Myrtle Beach International Airport ). After Spirit leaves, Breeze is increasing its presence in the area. The company plans to add several new routes, including a direct flight from Myrtle Beach to Boston starting May 4, 2027.
Breeze will also resume regular passenger services at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport ( Arnold Palmer Regional Airport ) in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. The airport lost its commercial aviation connections after Spirit. Flights from Latrobe to Milesburg are scheduled to begin on February 9, 2027, followed by a route from Latrobe to Orlando on May 26.

Buffalo, New York, is also one of the key areas for this expansion, with plans to add flights to Raleigh-Durham, Myrtle Beach, and Charleston, South Carolina.
These new routes all fall under the strategy of Breeze to connect to cities with limited direct flight options.
With international expansion, Tampa adds more Caribbean flights
While advancing its domestic expansion, Breeze is also strengthening its international network through Tampa International Airport. The company's continuously expanding Caribbean flight schedule includes routes to Montego Bay in Jamaica, St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.
Flights from Tampa to Santo Domingo are scheduled to begin operations on June 18, 2027, with two flights per week. This route will provide another direct flight option for passengers traveling between Florida and the capital of the Dominican Republic. Breeze There will also be a new direct flight added from Raleigh-Durham to Nassau, Bahamas, which is planned to start on June 30, 2027.

This international expansion will enable Breeze to target both leisure travelers and passengers visiting relatives and friends.
Breeze Airways Insufficient key layout services to meet market demand
The business model of Breeze Airways is built on providing affordable, point-to-point flights, and it does not require passengers to transfer through large aviation hubs. The company's continuously expanding fleet of Airbus A220-300 aircraft supports this strategy, enabling the company to operate routes between smaller markets.
As Spirit Airlines no longer serves several of its previous destinations, Breeze has seen an opportunity to expand its network and attract passengers seeking convenient direct flights.
