IT News on October 28th: According to reports from Yicai and Sina Auto, Gu Jie, Vice President of Xpeng Group, stated at today's SAECCE annual meeting that Xpeng's IRON robot solid-state batteries have begun mass production in small batches, and the robots are currently at the stage before SOP (standard operating procedures).
Gu Jie stated that Xpeng has launched a solid-state battery specifically designed for robots. Due to the space constraints of robots, Xpeng's robot solid-state batteries feature a high energy density design and have been re-engineered to meet new battery standards. They also incorporate a design that prevents thermal runaway and can withstand impacts and puncture tests.

On September 8th, Xpeng's robot production line was officially put into operation. The world's first advanced humanoid robot completed automated final assembly and walked off the production line for the first time, marking a crucial leap for Xpeng Robotics from research and development to mass production, and taking an important step towards large-scale manufacturing.

According to the plan, Xpeng will achieve mass production of humanoid robots by the end of 2026, start deliveries in the first half of 2027, initially deploying them in commercial scenarios such as stores and shopping malls, and gradually expand their use to industrial and household settings.
On August 24th, Xpeng's robotics business completed its first round of financing of over $900 million (Note from IT: The current exchange rate is approximately 6.013 billion RMB), with a post-investment valuation of over $6.3 billion (approximately 42.091 billion RMB), setting a new record for the largest single round of private equity financing in China's embodied intelligence industry.
