Jio 2026 Stock Price: Should I buy now or continue to wait and see?
Jio Platforms opened on Wednesday at 1,358 rupees, which is 21.4% higher than its issue price of 1,119 rupees. This leaves new buyers to decide whether to enter the market now or continue to wait. The performance of the stock on its first day of trading has already pushed the price close to the target levels suggested by several brokerage firms. The target price of 1,340 rupees set by Nomura has been surpassed, and the target prices of 1,350 rupees by Motilal Oswal and 1,367 rupees by Elara also indicate that there is not much room for further increase compared to the listing price.
The optimistic scenario target price given by Motilal Oswal is 1,690 rupees, on the premise that there will be a fee increase of about 15% starting from March 2027, and that the growth in broadband services will be realized; however, the pessimistic scenario target price is 1,035 rupees. Abhinav Tiwari of Bonanza suggests that investors who missed IPO can look for entry points during the pullback after the stock price goes public. Sarvam Goel of Pocketful states that most of the growth of Jio may already be reflected in the stock price.
Due to the circulating share ratio being less than 3%, the stock may experience significant fluctuations during early trading.
