SpaceX The second financial report shows that the company's investment in artificial intelligence has reached a new high.
As the developers of Grok continue to advance the construction of AI, SpaceX spent approximately $19.6 million on overall capital expenditures in the third quarter. This figure is largely in line with the expectations of Wall Street analysts.
After the financial report was released, the stock price of SpaceX rose by 4% in after-hours trading.
At the financial report conference call, Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX, stated that chips are no longer the biggest constraint to AI's expansion.
He said, "So when it comes to SpaceX superintelligence, SpaceXSI —— whatever you want to call it ‘sexy’ —— I think people are beginning to realize that the limitations of deploying superintelligence lie more in power supply, heat dissipation, and infrastructure, rather than the chips themselves."
The revenue of AI under SpaceX increased significantly quarter-on-quarter to $7.6 billion, exceeding analysts' estimate of $6.3 billion. This report also marks the first quarter since SpaceX acquired Cursor.

This means that for SpaceX, the revenue officially generated by its AI business has for the first time surpassed that of its Starlink business. Starlink's revenue for this quarter was 5.2 billion US dollars.
In August this year, SpaceX's first financial report caused concern among investors. At that time, the company led by Elon Musk disclosed that its total capital expenditure reached $18.4 billion, of which 80% was directed towards AI. This level of capital expenditure exceeded twice the company's revenue for that quarter.
Elon Musk has always admitted that after SpaceX acquired xAI in February, it was still lagging behind companies such as Anthropic and OpenAI in terms of cutting-edge models. Last month, Musk reposted a post from a user who ranked the Opus of Anthropic and the GPT-6 of OpenAI as ahead of the cutting-edge models of SpaceXAI.
He wrote, "Accurate (for now)."
SpaceXAI was later renamed SpaceXSI, which coincides with Musk's preference to rename " artificial intelligence " of U.S. President Donald Trump to " super intelligence ".
One area where SpaceXSI has achieved considerable success is leasing its computing power to Anthropic, Google, and Reflection AI. During the company's last financial report conference call, Chief Financial Officer Bret Johnsen stated that these leasing arrangements generated an additional $1.6 billion in revenue.
