Philadelphia, October 16 (Reuters/ PR Newswire ) – abrdn Global Infrastructure Income Fund (New York Stock Exchange ticker: ASGI, hereinafter referred to as the “Fund”) announced today the results of its transferable subscription right offering (hereinafter referred to as the “offering”). The offering commenced on September 21, 2026, and expired at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on October 15, 2026.

According to preliminary information, the issuance is expected to result in the issuance of approximately 3,582,068 ordinary shares, including guaranteed delivery notices, which is expected to bring in a total of about 70 million US dollars in funds, not including issuance costs. The final subscription price is $19.28 per ordinary share. The subscribed ordinary shares are expected to be issued around October 22, 2026, after all shareholder payments have been received.

The aforementioned data is preliminary and still depends on the receipt of payments from shareholders, including the confirmation of delivery notices, as well as the completion of the final subscription process.

The subscription price is determined in accordance with the issuance terms, and is calculated as 92.5% of the average closing price of the fund's common shares on the New York Stock Exchange (“NYSE”) on the maturity date and the four trading days prior to it; however, if this amount is lower than 92.5% of the net asset value per share of the fund's common shares at the close on the maturity date (“NAV”), then the subscription price will be 92.5% of the NAV per share at the close on the maturity date.

This press release does not constitute an offer to sell, nor an invitation to purchase any securities. The offering is conducted solely through the supplementary documents to the prospectus and the prospectus itself. Investors should read the supplementary documents to the prospectus and the prospectus before making any investment, and carefully consider the fund’s investment objectives, risks, fees, and expenses. This press release is not an offer to sell securities in any jurisdiction that does not permit such offers or sales, nor does it constitute an invitation to purchase securities.

This fund is a diversified closed-end management investment company. Its investment objective is to achieve a higher level of total return by emphasizing current income. The fund pursues this goal by investing in a portfolio of public and private infrastructure projects that generate income globally, covering areas such as power generation and energy, communications, and transportation infrastructure. There is no guarantee that the fund will be able to achieve its investment objectives. The ordinary shares of the fund are traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the trading code “ASGI”.

Important Information

The shares of closed-end funds are listed and traded on national stock exchanges and are bought and sold in the secondary market. The market price of fund shares is determined by supply and demand and may be higher (at a “premium”) or lower (at a “discount”) than the fund’s NAV. The investment returns and principal value of the fund can fluctuate, and investors may receive more or less than their initial investment when selling their shares. There is no guarantee that the fund will achieve its investment objectives. Past performance does not represent future results.

The trading price of closed-end fund shares can be influenced by a variety of factors, including market conditions, investor sentiment, and other external factors, and is not directly controlled by the fund, its board of directors, or investment advisors. Therefore, shares may be traded at prices higher or lower than NAV at any time. The premium of NAV may not be sustained, and the discount may also widen or narrow over time. Investors should consider these risks when buying and selling closed-end fund shares.

For shareholders who trade fund shares at a premium higher than NAV and participate in the fund's dividend reinvestment plan, they should be aware that the reinvestment may be made at a price higher than NAV, which could have an adverse effect on investment results.

Where exactly did the $100 billion spent by Microsoft, Google, and Meta on the AI infrastructure go?
The article points out that when companies such as Microsoft, Google, or Meta announce investments of $100 billion in artificial intelligence, this money does not all flow to NVIDIA. Instead, it is dispersed among a vast industrial chain consisting of chip manufacturers, data center developers, power suppliers, and equipment providers. Some companies receive payments during the infrastructure construction phase, while others generate ongoing revenue after the facilities are put into operation.
