Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, October 15, 2026 / PRNewswire / -- Air Canada’s newly launched vacation package service Flair Vacations LP has signed a distribution agreement with AI, a leading native product company in the tourism technology field. Under this agreement, Flair Vacations will access hotel room supplies through the iStay Gateway platform to support the vacation packages designed for Canada’s winter tourism season in November 2026.

Flair Vacations will use iStay and Gateway to obtain hotel inventory for the Caribbean region and Mexico. Travelers from Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton will be able to book both their flights and accommodations together, with destinations including Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Punta Cana, Puerto Plata, and Montego Bay.

Launching a new vacation business department requires a scaled hotel supply. iStay Gateway provides a single technical connection for Flair Vacations, which allows access to a distribution network that already serves established airline vacation brands, thus eliminating the need to build and maintain integrations with each supplier separately. This platform can handle price and room availability distribution, reservations, as well as content delivery, enabling the Flair Vacations team to focus on package design, pricing, and sales.

IBS Software Vice President of Hotel Solutions, Steffan Berelowitz stated: " Flair Airlines has established a solid position in the Canadian market, and Flair Vacations provides this airline with the opportunity to extend this positioning to the vacation market. For a new vacation business, access to a large-scale hotel supply is crucial. iStay Gateway offers Flair Vacations the capability and flexibility to quickly enter the market and expand its products as demand grows. We are delighted to support Flair in expanding its vacation business in the Caribbean and Mexico."

Flair Vacations President's Token Issuance le Bursey states: "We are building a vacation business for Canadian travelers who seek to balance value and quality. It is important for us to quickly enter the market with suitable hotel options, and IBS Software provides us with a proven supply access path. As demand grows, this platform also offers us room to expand our destinations and products."

Canadian airlines have been expanding their business from flights to a variety of tourism products over the years, and the air vacation business category is one of the most competitive areas in the domestic leisure tourism market. When Flair Vacations entered this category, it relied on its parent company's airline business for its cost-effective ticket pricing, as well as a network established around the destinations that Canadian travelers most frequently book for winter trips.

IBS Software provides SaaS solutions to global hotel groups and tourism sellers through its modular iStay Hotel Commerce platform, with products including central reservation systems ( CRS ), distribution and connectivity services ( Gateway ), call centers, and reservation engines.

This agreement covers hotel connections for the Flair Vacations package service. As the destination portfolio and passenger volume of this vacation business department grow, both parties will also evaluate additional areas of cooperation within the iStay product portfolio.

According to the Seoul Economic Daily, Samsung discovered overheating issues with Qualcomm's sixth-generation Snapdragon 8 Super Elite version during final performance testing for Galaxy S27 Ultra. Internal tests showed that the temperature repeatedly exceeded thresholds under high loads, resulting in a slowdown of the device. Samsung reported these findings to Qualcomm in September, requesting improvements by mid-October; if the issue cannot be resolved, Samsung may opt to use its own-developed Exynos 2700 instead.

IPO Slump Forces Private Equity Holding Companies to Turn to Debt Markets to Return Cash to Investors
Data shows that private equity funds are increasingly encouraging the companies in their portfolios to borrow money in order to return cash to investors through dividend recapitalization. Due to the continued sluggishness in IPO and merger and acquisition exit channels, Moody's expects this practice to remain high in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, but it may also weaken corporate investment and the ability to withstand future downturns.
