IT News on October 8th: According to a report by the Seoul Economic News on October 5th local time in South Korea, documents submitted by Samsung Electronics to the Taiyuan Provincial Government of Vietnam indicate that this South Korean semiconductor giant plans to build two semiconductor back-end testing factories there.
These two factories are located in Anping Industrial Park, Taiyuan Province, with a total investment of 105.7944 trillion Vietnamese dong (Note from IT: the current exchange rate is approximately 27.295 billion RMB). Samsung Electronics has previously been operating smartphone production lines in this park.

Laying out testing capacity in Vietnam helps to enhance the resilience of Samsung Electronics' business chain and reduce the impact of single-point failures on overall operations. At the same time, this also frees up more clean rooms in South Korea, leaving sufficient space for increasing production capacity of advanced semiconductors.
