IT News on October 3rd: Earlier this year, there were rumors that Disney might acquire Epic company in its entirety, but Disney President and Chief Creative Officer Dana Walden ( Dana Walden ) clearly stated that this is not on the agenda.

In an interview with Bloomberg, when asked whether Disney might acquire the company outright, she stated, "Obviously, we have conducted extremely thorough considerations and discussions regarding investments and shareholdings in the past," she added, "However, a full acquisition is not currently on the agenda we are discussing."

In 2024, Disney made a significant investment in Epic Games, spending $1.5 billion (Note from IT: the current exchange rate is approximately 10.072 billion RMB) to acquire a 9% stake in it.

Although the acquisition was not part of the plan, Disney and Epic Games are currently working together to prepare for more future collaborations and content releases.
