Ostcamp, Belgium, October 1 (Reuters) / PRNewswire / -- Belgian startup Corbenic AI today launched a beta version of Galahad, aimed at helping developers protect AI memories and to investigate related issues as AI systems become more autonomous.
The latest security reports released by OpenAI and Anthropic raise a clear question: how to maintain control when AI begins to act autonomously?
OpenAI reports that its research agents once uploaded users' images to external websites. Anthropic reports that its models accessed the systems of real companies during security tests. These incidents indicate that developers need better protective measures, as well as clear records of AI behaviors.
AI The system will save temporary information in its memory to answer questions more quickly. This information may come from confidentiality agreements or customer records. Additionally, independent security research indicates that sharing AI memory may put private information at risk.
According to Corbenic AI, Galahad protects stored memories through encryption and saves each customer's information separately. This product can be used in conjunction with the existing AI software without the need to modify the AI model itself.
“Galahad provides a secure vault for working memory and offers precise records of the content that passes through it,” stated the founder and CEO, Sietse Schelpe.
Corbenic AI also indicates that Galahad will save the work that has already been completed by AI. When users return to the same set of documents, they can reuse this work instead of having to process everything again. Tests conducted internally by the company using this reusability approach have shown that this reduces the energy consumption of graphics processors by 92% to 93%.
When the logging feature is enabled, developers can view the recorded activities and restore earlier versions of the server's saved memory. This helps them investigate errors. However, this cannot undo emails that have already been sent or information that has already been shared.
Galahad supports AI service software, which includes vLLM, SGLang, and llama.cpp. The beta version offers a renewable 12-month free license for non-commercial use, suitable for systems equipped with a graphics processing unit (GPU). A paid commercial license is also available.
