Samsung Electronics today announced the launch of the Galaxy Tab S12 series of tablets, which includes two models: Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra. The domestic prices start from 8,899 yuan and 10,499 yuan respectively. Both devices feature a slim and lightweight design, offer enhanced performance, and come with the new AI features. They will be available in various regions around the world starting from October 7th.
According to the introduction, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 series of tablets are equipped with immersive displays and come with an ergonomically designed S Pen stylus, which allows for easy note-taking to meet the needs of work and study. Among them, the Tab S12 Ultra model has a thickness of only 5.1mm, making it Samsung's thinnest tablet to date.
In terms of specifications, Galaxy Tab S12 + tablet is equipped with a 12.6-inch screen, while Ultra offers a 14.6-inch large screen. Both models feature a AMOLED 2X screen technology, with a maximum brightness of up to 1600 nits, allowing for clear visuals even outdoors. They are also equipped with a quad-speaker system that supports spatial audio, providing a more immersive viewing and listening experience.
At the same time, the Galaxy Tab S12 series of tablets are all equipped with the Dimensity 9500 chip. Overseas models offer up to 16GB of memory and 1TB of storage, and support expansion with microSD cards. The new devices feature a brand-new 3D thermal pad that provides sufficient heat dissipation for long periods of high-load operation, and have IP68 level water and dust resistance, enabling them to cope with various environments.
In addition, both of these tablets run on the One UI 9 operating system based on Android 17, creating a flexible workspace for large screens. For example, users can use Multi Window to divide one screen into three areas to run 3 App. The new devices will come with a six-month Google AI Pro trial period, during which users can utilize applications such as Gemini and Gemini Notebook.
