According to CoinMeta, as reported by U.Today, Cardano has made significant progress in real-world applications, with 100,000 Indian farms now registered on its blockchain. The Cardano Foundation states that the project aims to put all agricultural data onto the blockchain, providing a transparent and verifiable way to track farm information. Since June, the number of farms involved has grown from 15,000 to the current 100,000, aiming to address the issue of lack of agricultural data faced by millions of Indian farmers. This project, developed in collaboration with Syngenta Foundation India and several blockchain technology partners, utilizes satellite imagery and decentralized identifiers to provide each farm with a digital identity, and anchors the data on the Cardano blockchain, allowing institutions to independently verify agricultural data and reducing verification costs for banks and insurance companies.
