According to CoinMeta, on Wednesday (October 7th) at the close in New York, the yield on 10-year U.S. Treasury bonds rose by 0.23 basis points to 5.2816%. At 21:27 Beijing time, it reached a daily high of 5.3624%, only to plummet shortly thereafter when the results of the U.S. Treasury Department's bond auction were disclosed. The yield on 2-year U.S. bonds fell by 3.35 basis points to 4.7661%, reaching a daily high of 4.8352% at 21:27 before also experiencing a sharp decline. The yield on 30-year U.S. bonds rose by 0.93 basis points to 5.6668%, and at 21:28 it even reached 5.7311%. The yield spread between 2- and 10-year U.S. bonds widened by 2.712 basis points to +51.338 basis points. The yield on 10-year inflation-protected Treasury bonds (TIPS) fell by 0.16 basis points to 2.9053%, having previously reached 2.9748% at 21:27. The yield on 2-year (TIPS) bonds fell by 2.99 basis points to 2.2213%, while the yield on 30-year (TIPS) bonds remained relatively stable at 3.3770%, although it had reached 3.4376% at 20:23.
