American Express informs merchants how to deal with proxy shopping and promises compensation

According to CoinMeta, American Express recently released its business manual for agent businesses, acknowledging that trust is a key issue when establishing a business network based on autonomous agents. The manual introduces two main measures: the Agent Purchase Protection Program and the Merchant Advisory Committee. Although these programs are currently still in the planning stage, American Express hopes to use them to fill the gaps in responsibility and trust. Surveys show that 83% of businesses are eager to use AI agents, but only 15% of consumers trust robots to handle large transactions. To address this, American Express is forming a Merchant Advisory Committee to incorporate the perspectives of merchants when agents interact with the network.
