Arthur Hayes: The AI craze will lead to overbuilding and collapse, with Bitcoin being used as a remedy.

According to CoinMeta, Arthur Hayes warns that the construction of artificial intelligence (AI) data centers will lead to over-investment, ultimately resulting in collapse and bailouts. He predicts that a trillion-dollar boom will end in collapse and bailout. Hayes states that with the opening of these data centers, the cost of the AI boom is expected to reach 2.8 trillion dollars by 2030 and increase to 10.3 trillion dollars by 2032. Developers have already raised at least 1.3 trillion dollars in debt. He considers this expenditure to be "wasting trillions of dollars." Hayes also mentions that the AI boom will make computing power cheaper and more readily available, although many demanders (such as SpaceX, OpenAI, and Anthropic) are not yet making a profit. Hayes predicts that the collapse of the AI boom will come by the end of 2027 or in 2028. He points out that every major technological advancement in history has been accompanied by over-construction, collapse, and bailout. He believes that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will absorb the resulting excess liquidity.
