According to CoinMeta, the Wikimedia Foundation stated that they have discovered the activities of a "malicious" proxy associated with OpenAI on their platform, including edits to Wikipedia, "unsuccessful attempts" to exploit a Etherpad note-taking tool hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation, and high traffic that may have contributed to some of the failures that occurred in May. Nevertheless, the Wikimedia Foundation said they have not found evidence that their systems were "used for coordination."
