According to CoinMeta, NASDAQ-listed company terawulf announced that the contracted power capacity of its data center located in muskie in Eastern Kentucky, USA, has doubled to 1 gigawatt, which is designed to serve AI and high-performance computing loads. The construction is divided into two phases: the first phase with a capacity of 500 megawatts is scheduled to be operational in the second half of 2028, and the second phase with 500 megawatts is targeted for the second half of 2030. terawulf plans to expand the data center to 2 gigawatts in the future.
