According to CoinMeta, as reported by Business Insider, in 2026 the US electric vehicle market saw the addition of nearly 20 new models that were previously discontinued, with several electric vehicle models being withdrawn from automakers' product lines. Since the end of federal tax credits in September 2025, automakers have readjusted their electric vehicle product lines. Weak demand, tariffs, and the launch of a new generation of electric vehicles have also led to the cancellation of multiple products. According to data from Cox Automotive, electric vehicle deliveries declined by 20.5% in the second quarter of 2026. In the last quarter of 2025, electric vehicle sales fell by 36%.
