2026-10-05 16:45:46
CoinMeta Data: S&P announces the launch of a risk scoring framework for the DEFI lending market, aimed at helping investors better compare the risks of these growing lending products. According to S&P's framework, AAA (v) represents the lowest relative risk for investor losses. Over the past two years, the deposits in DEFI lending pools have surged from $1.5 billion to $10 billion, representing nearly a sevenfold market growth. S&P launched a new pool risk assessment (VRA) on October 5, 2026, which scores each pool based on its risk level. S&P states that digital asset pools can operate just like managed fixed-income funds, with strategies that can be automatically run by smart contracts or managed by human curators.
