Bitcoin Approaches $87,000, Hits Eight-Month High Before Pulling Back

CoinMeta data: Bitcoin approached $87,000 in the early hours of Monday, just about 500 dollars away from its eight-month high, but then fell back below $86,000. Nevertheless, it still rose by 1.3% within 24 hours. Doge Coin saw a gain of over 3%, approaching 10 cents. XRP, BNB, and ZEC each rose by 1% to 2%. Bitcoin continued its upward trend on Sunday, reaching a high of $86,950 before falling back by about $1,000. Last Wednesday, Bitcoin rose to $85,500 after U.S. inflation data slowed down, but then quickly fell back. Friday's U.S. employment data alleviated the pressure for the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates, with the yield on 10-year Treasury bonds dropping to 5.25%. The stock market continued its upward trend, and the Nasdaq 100 index set a new high. MSCI The Asia-Pacific stock index rose by 1%. If Bitcoin closes above $87,000 today, it would be the first sign that buyers have broken through the September high.
