2026-10-03 00:14:24
According to CoinMeta, Pope Leo XIV stated during a meeting with artists and curators in the Vatican that the Catholic Church needs human artists in the era of artificial intelligence. He emphasized the need to distinguish between art created by humans and works generated by machines through statistical calculations. He pointed out that the homogenization of art and the risk of censorship are a "major danger," and called on the Church to rebuild alliances with cultural institutions and artists to protect "human qualities." The Pope also mentioned that although technology companies such as OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google are developing related technologies, algorithms cannot retain the human spark.
