Dogeos Testing new smart contract path, did not re-create Dogecoin

CoinMeta Data: Dogeos has launched a public test network, providing developers with an environment compatible with EVM to build applications around Doge Coin. In the current architecture, Doge Coin is not yet capable of verifying zero-knowledge proofs generated at the application layer. The launch on September 30th provides infrastructure for trading, lending, stablecoins, prediction markets, and gaming, with Doge Coin serving as the native asset for transaction fees. Dogeos proposes to modify the core of Doge Coin to allow it to verify execution proofs by integrating zero-knowledge proofs, verifiers, and permission sequencers, but this has not yet been implemented. Dogeos aims to address the issue of Doge Coin lacking a programmable environment, despite it having widely held native assets and a well-known brand. Developer documentation indicates that this network is compatible with EVM bytecode and supports existing Ethereum code and tools.
