Developers use Apple's Find My to send Bitcoin from offline devices

CoinMeta data: A developer successfully sent Bitcoin from an offline device using Apple’s Find My network and used a small device to transfer Cashu electronic cash tokens via nearby iPhone. This device does not require an internet connection during the transfer process and utilizes the tracking system behind Airtags as the payment channel. The developer stated that this method is only suitable for sending small amounts of Bitcoin, as each signal carries only two bits of data, and typically more than 1000 broadcasts are needed to complete the reconstruction of the tokens. This experiment remains a novel attempt and is not an official payment product.
