According to CoinMeta, Jim Farley, CEO of Ford Motor Company, stated that robots are replacing spreadsheet work, but humans are still needed to repair them. He pointed out that robots are gradually becoming more common among knowledge workers, but their impact on skilled workers is relatively smaller. Farley mentioned at the "Accelerating the Basic Economy" conference in Detroit that the rise of robots has had different effects on professional and informational jobs. Ford currently has over 10,000 skilled workers in the United States, which accounts for about 20% of the company's 56,000 employees. These workers are increasingly involved in robot maintenance, software work, and the upkeep of automated equipment. Ford has made significant investments in robotics technology while also accelerating the transformation of its electric vehicle lineup. Farley emphasized that the boundaries between manufacturing engineers and skilled workers are becoming blurred.
