According to CoinMeta, the Digital RMB International Operation Center recently revealed that the scope of cross-border connectivity for the Digital RMB is steadily expanding. Following the signing of agreements with the first batch of 26 financial institutions, by the end of September, another 39 domestic and foreign financial institutions had submitted applications to join as direct participants in the “Digital Currency Connect” cross-border settlement comprehensive service platform ( cbets ). Since the beginning of this year, the Digital RMB International Operation Center has been continuously optimizing the services provided by cbets, steadily expanding the scope of cooperation. It not only supports bilateral connections with payment systems of overseas monetary authorities and legal digital currency systems but also allows overseas financial institutions to directly access these services. Relying on this underlying platform, the cross-border services of the Digital RMB cover both trade and support for cross-border personnel exchanges.
