U.S. Congress Expands Regulatory Investigation into Cryptocurrency Transactions

According to CoinMeta, James Comer (James Comer), the chairman of the U.S. Congressional Oversight Committee, has expanded the investigation into insider trading in crypto transactions, which involves records from Hyperliquid and Crypto.com. In a letter dated September 29th, Comer requested that these two companies, as well as Aristotle Exchange, provide detailed documents on customer verification and suspicious transaction controls, with a deadline of October 13th. The investigation also includes additional requests for information regarding traders with connections to the government. Comer stated that the committee aims to determine whether these platforms are meeting their legal obligations and preventing insider trading.
