Dogecoin Application Layer Dogeos Public Beta Launched
2026-10-01 05:49:11
CoinMeta Data: On Wednesday, Dogeos launched the public beta of its Dogecoin application layer. The public beta is a trial version of the network where developers can test applications. The Dogeos team hopes to add application features similar to those of Ethereum to Dogecoin, with Dogeos operating as an independent layer rather than altering Dogecoin itself. This project was founded by the MyDoge wallet team, which refers to it as "an application layer Rollup network based on Dogecoin," running on zkvm and generating cryptographic proofs to verify the validity of transactions. The testing network charges are calculated in DOGE, and the faucet for Dogeos distributes 42.069 test DOGE per day. Multiple teams currently working on it are listed, including Superposition Finance, Derps, USDoge, and Snag, among others. Dogeos, the founder and CEO of Jordan Jefferson, stated that this release marks the evolution of Dogecoin from an asset to an ecosystem.
