According to CoinMeta, SWIFT CEO Javier P, also known as rez-Tasso, stated at the 2026 opening ceremony in Miami SIBOS that the blockchain-based ledger has been launched and is already being used by some major financial institutions. It is expected that by the end of the year, at least 19 banks will be using this ledger, covering 5 major currencies, to support 7×24-hour payments through tokenized deposits.
