This program was registered in February 2023 and aimed to boost trading activity and liquidity. CFTC is currently reviewing transactions of approximately $5 billion in Ethereum-style perpetual contracts. The reason for Kalshi's termination of the program is not specified in the application. Despite doubts regarding wash trading, Kalshi achieved a record trading volume of $52.98 billion in September and is in talks with investors for around $1 billion in financing, with a valuation approaching $40 billion.
