U.S. PCE inflation drops to 3%, Bitcoin approaches $85,000

CoinMeta data: Inflation in the United States has dropped to 3%, with Bitcoin prices approaching $85,000. In August, the price index rose by 0.3%, and core inflation rose by 0.2%. The annualized headline inflation rate is 3.4%, and the core inflation rate has dropped to 3.0%. Inflation data that fell short of expectations led to a decline in Treasury yields, reducing the market's expectations for a Fed interest rate hike in October. The yield on 10-year Treasuries fell from around 5.234% to 5.203%, and the yield on 2-year Treasuries fell from 4.881% to 4.845%. Bitcoin was traded at around $84,000 as Treasury yields rose, facing a balance between macroeconomic pressures and ongoing institutional demand. U.S. spot Bitcoin attracted $31 million in capital inflows during the latest round, compared to about $2.39 billion in capital inflows the previous week.
