CoinMeta data: Germany's inflation rate has reached its highest level in nearly three years, putting further pressure on the European Central Bank to raise interest rates. In September, consumer prices in Germany rose by 3.3% year-on-year, higher than the economists' forecast of 3.2%. Rising energy costs are the main factor driving the acceleration of inflation. Germany's domestic indicator measuring potential price pressures remained unchanged at 2.4%. Previously, France, Italy, and Spain all reported unexpectedly strong overall inflation figures. Among them, affected by the surge in fuel costs triggered by the Iran conflict, Spain's inflation rate has risen to 5%. The overall inflation data for the eurozone is scheduled to be released on October 2nd, and economists expect inflation to rebound significantly to 3.7%.
