According to CoinMeta, as reported by Coin Bureau, SEC and CFTC no longer need to wait for the Clear Act and have taken at least nine measures to establish crypto regulations without congressional approval. These measures include: 1. A Crypto Working Group to define what constitutes a security and what does not; 2. Modernizing regulations for on-chain markets; 3. Crypto Guidelines to categorize crypto assets more clearly; 4. Coordinating Memorandums of Understanding to reduce overlap between the two agencies; 5. Joint Coordination Initiatives to create shared rules for crypto companies; 6. An Innovation Working Group to accelerate the development of crypto and blockchain market regulations; 7. Crypto FAQ to clarify how registered companies can use blockchain; 8. Innovation Exemptions that allow tokenized U.S. stocks to be traded on-chain; 9. Proposed crypto market regulations to create a formal framework for the crypto asset market. The crypto industry can now move forward without the Clear Act.
