According to CoinMeta, Charles Wu, the head of client strategy for JPMorgan Chase's Alternative Investments Asia-Pacific division, stated at a conference held in Singapore on Wednesday that foreign investors are increasingly providing funding for the development of artificial intelligence computing infrastructure in North America. He pointed out that foreign banks from Asia and the Gulf region, as well as institutional investors such as pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and insurance companies, are playing a significant role in the expansion of this field. Currently, the scale of capital expenditure in this industry is approaching one trillion dollars. During a panel discussion, he mentioned, "The computing assets used for training AI models are still mainly concentrated in North America." He added, "Whether on the banking side or the asset management side, the sources of capital providing funding for these assets are becoming more and more globalized."
