According to CoinMeta, an economist from smbc Nikkei Securities stated in a report that Japan's industrial production may be supported by capital expenditures related to artificial intelligence. In August, Japan's industrial output declined by 1.7% month-on-month. Part of this decline was attributed to automobile manufacturers suspending operations at some of their factories due to earthquakes and typhoons. The institution noted that the uncertainty surrounding crude oil supply prospects remains high, but Japan still maintains oil reserves equivalent to about 200 days of domestic consumption and has made progress in ensuring alternative supplies. Economists said that the risk of a major oil supply shortage at present seems low.
