Robinhood Plans 24/7 Stock Trading, Wall Street Moving Closer to the Crypto Market
2026-09-30 12:15:23
According to CoinMeta, on September 29th, Robinhood announced plans to allow customers to trade U.S. stocks and ETF throughout the weekend, aiming to enhance the continuous operation level of stock trading, similar to the characteristics of the crypto market. This decision complements Robinhood's current 24-hour market. As exchanges, regulatory authorities, and clearinghouses reconsider the operating hours of traditional markets, this change may have either positive or negative implications for the crypto market. Robinhood has already collaborated with nighttime trading infrastructure provider Bruce ATS to launch weekend trading services, which are still under regulatory review. In the initial phase, a limited number of stocks and ETF will be available.
