2026-09-29 22:09:09
CoinMeta data: Strategy transferred 3,568 bitcoins, worth approximately $297 million, but Arkham indicates that these transactions were internal transfers within Fidelity's custody, not sales of bitcoins. This transfer sparked speculation in the market about bitcoin sales, as over 3,568 bitcoins were transferred from wallets associated with Michael Saylor's company within just nine hours. Arkham Analyst Emmett Gallic stated that these transactions were internal transfers within Fidelity's custody infrastructure. Strategy has become a more active seller this year, having previously sold 6,916 bitcoins and purchased another 1,665 bitcoins between September 21st and 27th for $142.7 million, at an average price of $85,681 per coin, bringing their holdings to 847,666 bitcoins, with a cumulative cost of about $63.95 billion. Saylor mentioned that it is possible to sell a small amount of bitcoins while maintaining a net accumulation.
