CoinMeta Data: The Vana Foundation announced that as part of the Vega upgrade, the expansion of staking on the Vana network has been completed. They also released a paper titled “Vana: The Assets Behind the Open Data Economy,” which elaborates on the economics of the Vana token. A new public dashboard has been launched on token.vana.org, providing information on network readings, fee revenue, repurchases, burnings, and token supply. According to the network’s fee model, applications that read personal data are required to pay a fee of one cent per range of reads. The fees are allocated according to the protocol rules: 60% goes to stakers, 20% is used for purchasing and burning VANA, and 20% is dedicated to ecosystem development. Existing staking positions can be transferred to any of the three staking pools before October 31, 2026, through stake.vana.org. Staking rewards will be paid from the network fees and can be withdrawn at any time.
