According to CoinMeta, Eric Chase Savidra, former deputy sheriff of Los Angeles County, was sentenced to 21 months in federal prison for his involvement with the imprisoned crypto figure Adam Izza (Adam Iza). He abused his authority to intimidate Izza's enemies and concealed taxes amounting to over $373,000. Savidra had worked at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Anti-Gang Unit and founded a security company that became a major client of Izza's. Court documents show that Izza paid approximately $100,000 per month for 24-hour security services. Savidra admitted to receiving $373,146 in unreported income from Izza and agreed to have 32 Louis Vuitton bags, 27 pairs of Gucci shoes, and other items confiscated.
