The company's IPO prospectus states that this expenditure is seen as a bet that artificial intelligence will transform the global economy, surpassing the impact of industrialization, electricity, and the internet. Its listing is expected to take place after the mid-term elections in the United States, with a valuation that could exceed $2 trillion, doubling its previous financing valuation of $965 billion. Despite facing substantial losses, Anthropic incurred a net loss of $42 billion in 2025, of which about $34 billion was related to financing expenses. As of the end of 2025, the company held $20.28 billion in cash and short-term investments.
