According to CoinMeta, couples are using a popular AI assistant to handle emotional labor. This assistant performs well in managing daily tasks such as shared to-do lists and vacation schedules, but the results have been mixed. Since the launch of the Instinct AI assistant in August, early users have begun to utilize it to reduce the trivialities of daily life. A new feature of this assistant, "Trusted People," allows a user's AI assistant to communicate directly with another party's assistant, thereby reducing the need for repeated communication when coordinating plans. Some users find this feature very helpful, but others have reported privacy and security concerns. Psychologist Annie Wright indicates that although the AI assistant can alleviate some of the emotional labor, attention still needs to be paid to the issue of responsibility distribution in interpersonal relationships.
