CoinMeta data: Co-founder Sandeep Nailwal stated that, according to the calculation using the indicator of FDV divided by the annualized handling fee, the valuation multiple of Polygon in the sample is approximately 44 times, which is lower than that of projects such as Tron, Hyperliquid, and Solana. He also mentioned that the Polygon community has recently permanently destroyed 100 million POL, which accounts for about 1% of the total supply, and there are another approximately 25 million POL that are currently waiting to be destroyed. In addition, Polymarket has launched perpetual contracts on Polygon, and Open Money Stack is also continuing to advance more on-chain trading scenarios. Nailwal uses these developments as evidence that they believe the current valuation of POL is on the low side.
